Let the birthday party begin.....

Let us cut to the chase. After some food and fun it was time for the cupcakes. It was all about Star Wars the Clone Wars.
Jedi Gabo was very shy after everyone sang happy birthday to him. Gabo shy? What the.....?

Let me just dive in! Gabo only had two cupcakes.
After the sugar it's time to open the presents. Oh, look at his face.....priceless.
Sol and the other kids had a great time trying to help open the presents.
Kodak moment with Ez.
Grandma Jae's present #1 for Gabo. Mario's checking things out!
Here's Jon's final product. Great job Jon Jon white van!

Huckleberries anyone?

Drove to Mt. Rainier, Noble Nob trail head to pick some huckleberries. When we got there it was 37 degrees. Way too cold but we walked in and looked for some berries.

This was my bucket after about 10 minutes. As u can tell not very many pictures, fingers were a bit frozen. After about an hour the kids were too cold and we headed back down the trail to the car. It was way worth it. Mario will be making some muffins with these. Can't wait.

After we got home it was back to getting the Jedi robes ready for the birthday boy and Sol. Mario cut the pattern and was ready with his sewing machine.

After about 2 hours, the final product....Gabo was a very happy boy! He loved his Jedi robe.
This is my contribution to Gabo's birthday.
I made some Star Wars magnets for the goodie bags.
Here's Sol's Jedi Robe. It was pretty sweet. Great job Mario!

Catching up with friends

Since we've been gone for about a month Sol was catching up with his friends. Ez came over with a birthday gift for Sol.
Sweet, an airplane kit. Ez and Sol opened the pkg right up and started building!
A bit later Arjenn and Simmrun came over. Arjenn saying hello to our new hobo hamsters. This is either Mr. Johnson or Mr. Guinea Pig. Go figure, I asked my kids to name them and that's what they came up with. Oh, they are females....
You looking at me?
Having a little Friday afternoon fun.

Vancouver here we come!

After I got into town the night before from Puerto Rico, the girls and I headed up to CT's parent's place in Vancouver Canada for a girls weekend.
Over the bridge we go....

Ok so while we were parking the car at the apt complex, our friend Soloman and his fiancee were walking by and informed us that they were getting married in a few hours. Yikes, off to the florist we go. Here she is fixing a boutonniere for the groom.
We thought that we weren't going to be able to eat until the wedding (after 8pm) so got some sushi to go. 18 pieces for 7 bucks. Can ya believe it?

Bonding before dinner. Dinner? I just ate!
We took the bride and groom out for some goooooood Greek dinner.
In CT's parents apt complex the lobby has this great mirror that makes one look tall. We loved it. A Kodak moment.
Before the Wedding began.....hail to Kelly's bottle of Jack.

Now, let the games begin. Official documents and the rings are warmed up.
The officiant was a very nice woman. It was around 8pm and her husband was downstairs in the car....after the ceremony it was off to dinner for her.
While the bride and groom were exchanging rings, CT was a bit emotional.
You may kiss the bride. Solomon was so nervous he was sweating bullets.
Now sign your life away!
